1. Overview

RangeSqueeze operates rangesqueeze.com, an online game featuring daily challenges and optional user accounts. RangeSqueeze ("RangeSqueeze," "we," "us," or "our") provides the service. This Privacy Policy explains the categories of information RangeSqueeze may collect, how that information is used, when it may be shared, and what rights and choices users have. This policy applies to the RangeSqueeze website and related services. We may update this policy as the service develops. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law, and we will obtain additional consent where legally necessary.

2. Account Information

RangeSqueeze allows users to play as guests or create optional accounts. Depending on the account features and registration methods offered, account information may include email addresses and authentication identifiers; usernames, display names, and profile preferences; account creation dates and authentication activity; saved game progress and associated account information; and subscription status and entitlements if paid features are offered. We use account information to authenticate users, maintain accounts, save progress, provide requested features, communicate important service information, and protect account security. Guest gameplay may use cookies, browser storage, or anonymous identifiers to maintain progress or remember preferences, depending on the service's implemented functionality.

3. Gameplay and Product Activity

RangeSqueeze may collect and process gameplay-related information, including daily challenge participation, scores, attempts, completion status, progress, session duration, and interactions with game features. This information may be used to operate daily challenges and gameplay features; save progress and display personal statistics; maintain rankings or leaderboards if offered; identify technical issues and prevent cheating; analyze gameplay performance and improve the user experience; and develop and evaluate new game features. Daily leaderboard: players who are signed in to an account appear on a daily leaderboard for each game. The leaderboard shows your username and that day's score to anyone who views it. Email addresses are never shown, and guests do not appear on the leaderboard. If you would rather not appear, you can play without signing in, or delete your account from Account in the game's menu.

4. Payments and Billing

Bracket Club memberships are paid through Stripe, our payment provider. Your card or other payment details go directly to Stripe and are never sent to or stored by RangeSqueeze. We store only what we need to run your membership: your Stripe customer ID, your subscription ID and plan, its status (for example active or cancelled), and when it renews or ends. Stripe's handling of your payment information is covered by Stripe's own privacy policy.

5. Device, Technical, and Usage Information

When users access RangeSqueeze, we or our service providers may process technical information necessary for website delivery, functionality, security, and troubleshooting. Depending on the technologies implemented, this may include IP address and approximate geographic location; browser type and version; device type and operating system; screen size and language preferences; session timestamps and referral information; error reports, diagnostics, and security logs; and website interaction and analytics events. We use this information to operate and protect the service, investigate errors, prevent abuse, understand usage patterns, and improve performance. Additional analytics or advertising information will be collected only as described in this policy and in accordance with applicable consent requirements.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

RangeSqueeze may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to support essential website functionality, account sessions, gameplay progress, preferences, security, and performance. Analytics: we use Google Analytics, provided by Google, to understand how people use RangeSqueeze, for example which pages are visited, how many games are started and finished, scores, and whether results are shared. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies, and Google processes this information under its own privacy terms. We do not use advertising cookies, and Google's advertising features are switched off. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only used if you accept them; elsewhere they are used by default and you can decline. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the game's menu. Where legally required, non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies will not be activated until the user provides the necessary consent. Users may also manage certain cookies through their browser settings, although disabling essential storage may affect functionality.

7. Gameplay Videos and User-Generated Content

RangeSqueeze encourages users to share gameplay experiences, screenshots, recordings, reactions, and other content through social media and other platforms. Users may voluntarily submit gameplay-related content to RangeSqueeze through official submission channels or promotional activities. When content is submitted directly to RangeSqueeze, we may process the content and related information for purposes such as reviewing submissions, responding to users, operating submission features, and administering authorized promotional activities. If a user separately authorizes promotional use, submitted content may be used in marketing or advertising, including organic social media and paid advertisements, consistent with the permissions provided. Such content may contain personal information, including usernames, images, voices, and other identifying details. RangeSqueeze may view or interact with public posts that mention or tag the game, subject to the policies and permissions of the relevant social media platforms. Publicly posting content featuring RangeSqueeze does not automatically authorize RangeSqueeze to reproduce the recording for advertising purposes. Where appropriate, we may request additional authorization before using identifiable user content in promotional materials. We will handle content involving minors in accordance with applicable privacy, consent, and advertising requirements.

8. Future Recording and Creator Features

RangeSqueeze may introduce optional features allowing players to record gameplay, capture their screens, or use a camera or microphone. If these features are implemented, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what recording-related information is collected, whether recordings are processed locally or on servers, how long recordings are retained, and whether third-party processing is involved. Users will receive relevant permission requests before camera, microphone, or recording functionality is activated. Activating such a feature will not itself constitute permission to use recordings in advertisements.

9. Third-Party Service Providers

RangeSqueeze may rely on service providers for hosting, database functionality, authentication, payment processing, analytics, fraud prevention, and customer support. These providers may process information needed to perform their services in accordance with applicable agreements and legal obligations. We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with lawful requests or legal obligations; investigate suspected fraud or security incidents; enforce applicable agreements; protect users, the service, or the public; or complete a legitimate business transfer, acquisition, or reorganization, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

10. How Information Is Used

Subject to applicable law, RangeSqueeze processes information for purposes including providing and maintaining the game; authenticating accounts and saving progress; supporting purchases and subscriptions; improving functionality and troubleshooting errors; preventing cheating, fraud, and unauthorized access; responding to user requests; sending necessary account and service communications; conducting optional marketing activities where properly authorized; and meeting legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations. Where required by applicable law, processing will be based on a valid legal basis, such as fulfilling an agreement, complying with legal obligations, legitimate interests, or user consent. Users may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable legal basis, subject to lawful limitations.

11. Children and Teen Users

RangeSqueeze is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without any legally required authorization, we will take appropriate steps to delete or otherwise lawfully handle that information. Users aged 13 through 17 may be subject to additional privacy protections, including restrictions on personalized advertising, profiling, and the promotional use of their image, voice, or personal information. Where parent or guardian consent is legally required, RangeSqueeze will obtain that authorization before engaging in the relevant activity. Parents and guardians may contact RangeSqueeze at rangesqueeze@proton.me about privacy concerns or information relating to their children.

12. Security and Retention

RangeSqueeze will implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Personal information will be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including account operations, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and financial recordkeeping. Specific retention periods or criteria will depend on the relevant category of information and applicable legal requirements. Information that has been properly aggregated or de-identified may be retained for statistical and analytical purposes where permitted by law.

13. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the ability to request access to information held about you; request corrections to inaccurate information; request deletion of eligible personal information; request a portable copy of certain information; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; object to or restrict certain processing activities; opt out of certain forms of targeted advertising or personal information sharing, where applicable; and exercise additional rights provided by applicable privacy laws. RangeSqueeze will provide legally required mechanisms for submitting and processing privacy requests. Certain information may be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect security, or meet other legally recognized exceptions. To make a privacy request, email RangeSqueeze at rangesqueeze@proton.me. You can delete your account at any time: open the menu, choose Account, then Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, username, saved scores and streaks, and any feedback sent while signed in. Anonymous score statistics that are not linked to your account are not affected.

14. International Users

RangeSqueeze may be accessed by users outside the United States. Personal information may be processed in the United States or other countries where authorized service providers operate. Where cross-border transfers are subject to applicable legal requirements, RangeSqueeze will implement the necessary transfer mechanisms and safeguards. Users in certain jurisdictions may have additional privacy rights and protections.

15. Marketing Communications

If RangeSqueeze offers marketing emails or similar promotional messages, participation will be voluntary where required by law. Users will be able to unsubscribe from marketing emails using the available unsubscribe mechanism or applicable account preferences. Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not necessarily prevent transactional or service-related messages, such as password resets, purchase receipts, or important security notifications. RangeSqueeze will not add users to optional marketing email lists solely because they play the game.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the game, its features, third-party services, legal requirements, or data-processing practices. The updated effective date will appear at the top of this policy. Where changes are material, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent as required by applicable law.
